Dhruv Jani

Hi! My name is Dhruv , a graduate student in Operations Research & Analytics at the Columbia University in New York City. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Analytics & Operations Research from the University of California, Davis, where I graduated with a minor in Statistics. My academic journey has led me to explore various aspects of mathematical optimization, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making. At Columbia, I've delved into courses such as Probability, Applied Statistics, Computational Discrete Optimization, and Stochastic Models, honing my skills in tackling real-world problems using mathematical and computational techniques .

Beyond academia, I've been fortunate to immerse myself in research and industry experiences that have shaped my passion for leveraging data science for social good. From developing ML techniques to study human behavior on large-scale online platforms to exploring advanced generative models for autonomous vehicle systems, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with leading organizations such as Apple, NIH, and UC Davis Graduate School of Management.

When I'm not buried in data or coding, you can find me indulging in one of my favorite hobbies – playing the piano or cricket. Music and sports have always been a source of inspiration and relaxation for me, providing a welcome balance to the rigors of academic and professional life.
